Job description

The opportunity
At Unity, we're shaping the future of real-time 3D creation by making game development more accessible than ever. Our next-generation human-in-the-loop agentic AI, goal-directed, adaptive, and capable of reasoning and planning in dynamic environments, is redefining how creators bring their ideas to life.
Unity AI is built to democratize game development the way modern tools transformed video creation: if you have an idea, you can make a game, guided by an agent that plans, executes, and iterates with you. For professionals, we aim to deliver a step-change in efficiency with 10x productivity gains, faster iteration cycles, and richer creative exploration. As this vision scales, we expect a 10x-100x increase in high-quality games, and a new era of digital entertainment.
We're looking for a Staff Product Manager to join the Unity AI product team and take ownership within a fast-growing portfolio: our AI Assistant (now in beta) with deeper native integration into the Unity Hub on the way, new agentic AI experiences that open game creation to aspiring and AI-native creators, and emerging workstreams in AI-powered playtesting and world models. You'll join us at a moment where new products ship constantly, and you will help shape which problems we solve next.
What you'll be doing
  • Own product vision, strategy, and roadmap for one or more Unity AI workstreams, balancing near-term iteration with bold long-term innovation.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and ML teams to design and deliver agentic AI-powered workflows that simplify game creation.
  • Drive rapid, iterative releases informed by user feedback in a fast-paced environment.
  • Define what a great AI experience looks like, including evaluations and benchmarks that guide product quality.
  • Leverage market insight and user research to deeply understand creators' needs, from professional game developers to AI-native hobbyists.
  • Collaborate across Unity's ecosystem, aligning with teams in our Create and Grow divisions to deliver a unified product experience.
  • Lead multi-functional collaboration, aligning diverse key decision makers and guiding teams through ambiguity toward impactful outcomes.

What we're looking for
  • Extensive daily use of AI products in a professional work environment, along with a deep passion for and experience with vibe coding.
  • Demonstrated success building products from initial concept (0) through launch (1), owning them end to end.
  • Strong track record in Product Management, with the ability to operate at staff level and above.
  • Experience writing and managing evaluations for AI products.
  • Deep empathy for creators, with a customer-obsessed mindset and passion for democratizing game development.
  • Strong skills in prioritization, problem-solving, and navigating ambiguity to deliver high-impact outcomes.
  • Passion for games: industry experience, hands-on game creation, or games you've built yourself (including AI-assisted).

You might also have
  • Experience with GenAI products in gaming or adjacent industries, or benchmarking experience for AI systems.
  • Background in game development with hands-on Unity experience.
  • Solid grasp of AI/ML concepts and frameworks, particularly agentic and generative AI.

Mountain View, SF/Bay: $200,400 - $260,500
Bellevue, Seattle, NYC, Remote CA: $178,300 - $231,800

This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate's relevant experience, professional background, and skill set.

At Unity, we want our team members to thrive. We offer a wide range of benefits designed to support well-being and work-life balance.
