Job description

Unit Manager - Dementia Unit

Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the care management of a population of patients within an assigned unit or clinical function. The position conducts the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation under the scope of the State's Nurse Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure. Unit Manager coordinates resource utilization, timely and appropriate care interventions, and interdisciplinary communication to enhance patient and family satisfaction, while ensuring adherence to the center's clinical systems and regulatory compliance.

Shift Available: 8:00 AM โ€“ 4:30 PM

Weekdays/ Full-Time

Preferred Requirements
  • Evaluate nurse and medical staff performance
  • Ensure unit meets federal, state, and company guidelines
  • Complete admission and discharge documentation
  • Deliver hands-on care and medication administration as needed
  • Communicate procedural issues with the Director of Nursing and work to correct them
  • Act as a liaison between patients' families and healthcare staff
  • Additional duties as assigned beyond this job description
Must-Have Requirements
  • Valid RN or LPN license in the state of New Jersey
  • Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) and Memory Care Unit
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or related healthcare setting
  • Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
