Facility: Chateau Rehabilitation and Nursing Center
Position: Unit Clerk
Location: Rochelle Park, NJ
Shift: Full-Time | 7am - 3om
Salary: Up to $22 per hour

Join Our Team as a Unit Clerk

Chateau Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Unit Clerk to support our nursing team and help ensure smooth daily operations within the facility. The ideal candidate will be professional, reliable, and committed to providing excellent administrative support in a compassionate healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver new admission charts to the unit and prepare required documentation for incoming residents.

  • Fax physicians’ orders daily and distribute printouts to the appropriate departments.

  • Transfer vital signs and weights into resident charts accurately.

  • Maintain and restock the nurses’ station supply drawer.

  • Screen incoming phone calls and relay messages to the nursing team.

  • Schedule physician appointments and communicate with physicians, families, and facility staff.

  • Type documents as directed by Nursing Administration.

  • Coordinate agency staffing schedules and communicate with the Director of Nursing Services (DNS).

  • Notify the Food Service Department of dietary changes for residents.

  • Maintain bathing schedules for nurse aides.

  • Greet visitors and provide assistance and directions in accordance with company policies.

  • Assist with ordering medical supplies under the direction of the DNS.

  • Support a compassionate environment that promotes quality care for residents and families.

Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • Proficiency with computer systems, office equipment, and basic software programs.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and systems.

  • 1 year of related experience preferred.
