Position Summary:
Samsung SDS plays a leading role in the global logistics market with unique logistics services.
With its innovative IT technology, SDS developed the integrated logistics solution called "Cello" in 2010, started its logistics business in 2012 and expanded its logistics business with Business Process Outsourcing.
The Tax Accountant is responsible for local, state, federal tax reporting and compliance in accounting to ensure tax returns are completed effectively for minimum tax obligations and maximum savings. He/she is responsible for tax planning to prepare tax filings in quarterly/yearly and internal/external audits.

Responsibilities:
Manage and be responsible for preparation of company federal tax returns and reviews
Prepare strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes quarterly/ yearly
Manage + implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures
Manage timely filing of consolidated federal, state and local income tax returns and other business related filings
Support for various internal audits and coordinate auditors' requests
Manage transfer price, APA, International tax (BEAT, GILTI) and special tax related projects
Reconcile tax data on financial statements
Research and develop tax-saving strategies, the implication of tax laws and advise clients on tax-related issues
Frequent ad-hoc reports
Communication with HQ (in Korea)
Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business, Masters in Tax and/or CPA certification preferred
8+ years' experience in Accounting with local/state/federal tax reporting
Bilingual Korean required
Knowledge of International tax (BEAT, GILTI)
Strong technical and research skills
Strong work ethic with the ability to work with little supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects, issues and activities
Excellent problem-solving skills with decision making skills
Proficient in Outlook, MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word)
