Logistics Lead

Onsite - Nashville, TN

Overview:

The Logistics Lead will be based in Nashville, TN. In this position, you will report to the US Logistic Director. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end coordination of project-level deliveries across the U.S., ensuring materials reach job sites on time and in full. You will work closely with freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to manage routing strategies, resolve logistical challenges, and maintain customer satisfaction. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are key, as this position serves as a central link between operations and our customer-facing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Nextpower Delivery Managers and Project Managers to ensure OTD (On Time Delivery) and customer satisfaction.

  • As such, for all projects under your responsibility, you will be responsible for implementing the optimal transportation modes and routing strategy to meet OTD and costs, ensuring that processes and procedures run smoothly.

  • Monitor your Freight Forwarder's daily performance during projects execution through the appropriate KPI's and metrics.

  • Drive resolution of challenges with Suppliers/Freight Forwarders/Project Managers and other stakeholders in a timely manner.

  • Whenever needed, drive cross-functional discussions to create risk-mitigation strategies.

  • Attending regular meetings with internal customers (Project Managers and Sales teams) and external ones whenever needed.

  • Serve as the primary logistics point of contact for key customers, coordinating directly with cross-functional teams (Planning, Suppliers, Project Management) to address delivery-related inquiries.

  • Handle deliveries to remote and project-based locations, understanding unique logistics challenges that differ from traditional warehouse operations.

  • Support smaller accounts initially while scaling responsibilities to larger customers over time.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of work experience in transport and logistics.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business / Commerce or equivalent experience in Logistics Industry.

  • Ability to lead a team of 3/4 and handle multiple projects within US

  • Experience in working in different time zones and different cultures

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Multitasking Skills - Able to handle various assignments in daily coordination with multiple sites, locations, and deadlines.

  • Extensive knowledge of the freight and transport industries (mainly ocean & road within US)

  • Freight Forwarding (FF) experience at the project level, with a strong understanding of logistics in remote job site environments.

  • Advanced in MS Office Suite.

  • Customer Centricity and result orientation.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in Project Logistics (preferably Solar or Oil & Gas)

  • Familiarity with systems such as NetSuite, Anaplan, and Matrixfactors (Transportation Management System).
