Job Description
A well-established employer is seeking dependable and organized Logistics Specialists / Dispatchers to support daily transportation and customer service operations. In this role, you will coordinate shipments, communicate with drivers and customers, track deliveries, and help keep transportation schedules on track. You will also maintain accurate shipping records and assist with resolving delivery or scheduling issues. This position is ideal for someone with strong communication, computer, and organizational skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily pickups, deliveries, transportation schedules, and driver dispatch activities
  • Monitor shipments, track driver activity, and communicate delivery updates, delays, or schedule changes
  • Provide professional customer service by phone and email while resolving shipping and delivery-related concerns
  • Enter and maintain accurate shipment, order, customer, and delivery information in company systems
  • Prepare shipping documents, bills of lading, delivery records, and other transportation paperwork while coordinating with warehouse and operations teams
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Previous experience in logistics, dispatching, transportation, customer service, or shipping/receiving preferred
  • Strong customer service, verbal communication, and professional email skills
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills; Microsoft Office experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to respond professionally to changing schedules or delivery issues
