Job Overview

The Opportunity You will serve as a cornerstone of our Sales and Client Relations division, transforming complex designs into precise financial roadmaps. This role grants you the autonomy to lead preconstruction efforts while receiving the direct support of a leadership team that values your individual contribution.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Formulate accurate electrical budgets during schematic design and development phases to ensure project feasibility.
  • Analyze intricate drawings and specifications to develop reliable scope narratives and comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Evaluate design alternatives and provide strategic value-engineering recommendations to optimize project budgets.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and internal teams to clarify assumptions and solidify pricing strategies.
  • Review supplier and subcontractor quotes to verify accuracy and eliminate scope gaps in vendor pricing.
  • Maintain historical cost data and estimating benchmarks to ensure all bids remain competitive and defensible.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical estimating, specifically within the commercial sector.
  • Proven proficiency with industry software including Conest, Accubid, Procore, and Bluebeam.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple estimates and strict deadlines simultaneously under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills necessary for managing complex documentation and client relations.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Completion of a formal electrical trade background or equivalent engineering experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of value engineering and cost optimization strategies for large-scale projects.
  • Familiarity with estimating projects from early design through final construction documents.
