The company owns and operates national television networks, as well as local broadcast stations throughout the country. Weigel is a leader in broadcast television with MeTV, Memorable Entertainment Television, the number one rated classic TV entertainment network, as well as the Movies! Network in cooperation with the Fox Television Stations, the Catchy Comedy Network, the H&I - Heroes & Icons Network, the Start TV Network and the Dabl Network in association with the CBS Television Stations, the Story Television Network, the MeTV Toons Network in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, and WEST- Western Entertainment Series Television Network. Weigel produces the original network TV programs Svengoolie, Toon In With Me and Collector's Call. Master Control Operator:

Weigel Broadcasting Co in Chicago, Illinois is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Master Control Operator to join the Master Control Team.


What You'll Do 

Set up, operate, and control television broadcast equipment 

Monitor television broadcast equipment to transmit television programs and commercials to viewing audience

Conduct on-air switching, dubbing, and transferring programs

Manage and gather satellite feeds for broadcast use

Support the production of newscasts and other live or taped programming for television and multi-platform use

Perform additional duties as assigned


What You've Done 

Minimum two years of experience in broadcast or video production

Proficient in computer applications, including word processing and database software

Hands-on experience with television equipment operation, automation systems, and tape and disk-based video servers

Working knowledge of satellite controllers, video waveform monitors, vectorscopes, master control switching and routing systems

Proven ability to perform accurately and efficiently under pressure of television operations control

Developed and displayed responsible work habits with minimal supervision

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
