Position Summary
The Division of Neonatology in the Department of Pediatrics seeks a motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide administrative support for faculty and staff. This full-time position serves as a key contact for faculty, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, and division staff, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities include maintaining calendars, coordinating and documenting meetings, managing on-call schedules in TigerConnect, and preparing correspondence, spreadsheets, and reports. The position also involves processing and reconciling purchases through Chrome River and managing PCard transactions.
Successful candidates will be organized, proactive, and able to adapt to changing priorities while working independently and as part of a team.

Conditions of Employment
  • If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
  • All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the US-UNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Experience with calendaring, meeting coordination, and note-taking
  • Proficiency in Smartsheets, Microsoft Office Suite, Banner, TigerConnect, and PCard systems
  • Experience in an academic or medical environment
