Description:

Unified Communications Engineer to provide Unified Communications Engineering. This includes desktop Video Conferencing (DVTC), Conference Room Video Teleconference Communications (CVTC), desktop Voice Over Internet Protocol (DVOIP), Voicemail, and Enterprise Content Delivery. The current Unified Communications infrastructure consists of Cisco DXSOs, 8800 Series Cisco phones, Cisco MX and SX Series Conference room equipment, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Telepresence, Cisco VBrick, Cisco Enterprise Content Delivery, and Unity Connect voicemail.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze the existing Unified Communications infrastructure and make recommendations for enhancement
  • Engineer Unified Communications solutions to meet new requirements and enhancements to existing Unified Communications services, to include identifying hardware refresh recommendations
  • Perform an AoA for periodic Unified Communications hardware refreshes, following all
  • Change Management processes
  • Creates and documents the requisite network configuration
  • Performs design, project management, acceptance testing, and vendor assessment activities.
  • Communicates with internal and external groups to determine communications requirements and prepare engineering specifications to ensure functional requirements are met.
  • Ensures the accuracy and completeness of systems documentation.
  • Help in the design and the development of system equipment, as well as installing, testing system equipment, and implementing procedures to make all components operational.
  • Involvement in all aspects of service delivery, from carrying out feasibility exercises and determining connectivity and signal access, to preparing detailed, technical, and operational documentation.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Information Assurance Technical (IAT) III Certification
  • Experience utilizing trouble ticket systems like ServiceNow
  • Excellent customer service, writing, and oral communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of LAN/WAN and Unified Communication (UC) technology, tools, and services
  • Demonstrated experience as a Network Administrator
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional-level Cisco certifications desired
  • Problem analysis and problem solving
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Customer Service oriented

  • ITIL Foundations certification desired
