The Energy & Power Division writes a broad portfolio of upstream, midstream, downstream, renewable energy and power risks on a global basis. Our current team has 28 employees across four office locations in London, Texas, the UAE and Singapore and our commitment to technical underwriting supports our decision making alongside experienced engineering expertise. Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for agents and brokers by gathering information on behalf of the underwriters, answering questions, resolving lowcomplexity issues, and facilitating the overall servicing of accounts. Support the processing of business transactions that do not require underwriter review or signoff.

    Take necessary measures to obtain information needed to finalize inquiries and transactions, maintaining a suspense and followup system for outstanding underwriting items.

    Ensure accuracy of all information entered into internal systems and verify that all required documentation is complete and properly filed.

    Routinely communicate with team members, agents/brokers, and key business partners-including international colleagues within our Energy & Marine division-to

    research, gather, and validate information needed to review, analyze, and complete transactions.

    Utilize and adhere to internal guidelines, procedures, and service standards to ensure all assigned work is processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.

    Participate in problemsolving activities to define issues, identify root causes, design and test solutions, and implement process improvements. Apply continuous improvement methodologies to enhance workflow efficiency and eliminate recurring problems.

    Under the direction of an Underwriter, attach appropriate forms, process policy changes, and support technical underwriting tasks as needed.

    Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, brokers, and internal teams across both wholesale and retail business units. Represent the team with professionalism, confidence, and strong interpersonal skills.

    Participate in special projects and additional duties as assigned to support team operations, meet customer needs, and achieve business objectives.

Additional Role Components

This role includes exposure to chemicalrelated risks and underwriting considerations. Background or interest in chemistry, chemical processes, engineering, or general scientific principles is a strong plus.

Work closely with our international Energy & Marine team, gaining insight into global risk, specialty markets, and complex accounts.

Position is based in Dallas, Houston, or Austin, Texas.

Education
