Job description

IAT has an immediate opening for a Supervisor to provide day-to-day oversite for the Underwriting Operations Team within the Management Liability unit. An ideal candidate will be able to work out of one of the following IAT offices:

  • Scottsdale, Arizona

  • Rolling Meadows, Illinois

  • Kansas City, Missouri

  • Omaha, Nebraska

Underwriting Support consists of a team of production-oriented, customer-centric, problem-solving, detail-driven account managers. The ideal candidate will have experience leading, coaching and developing production teams as well as experience partnering with vendors on outsourced work.

This role works a hybrid schedule that requires working from the office Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working Thursday and Friday remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership to assigned staff by leading organizational change; developing and empowering staff; cultivating relationships; putting staff in a position to succeed, meeting their personal career goals while also achieving organizational goals; building effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals; driving engagement and creating a climate where staff are motivated to do their best.

  • Conduct performance reviews, goal setting and ongoing feedback.

  • Oversees training and quality product output of account management staff.

  • Use metrics to monitor daily workloads, prioritize assignments and ensure internal and vendor service level agreements (SLAs) are met; investigate and resolve abnormalities.

  • Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree required/Bachelors degree preferred and 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • Substantial understanding and knowledge of Underwriting Support Processes and Procedures.

  • Strong analytical and problem- solving skills

  • Ability to work throughout the organization at different levels.

  • Solid technical background with hands on experience in rating and policy issuance platforms, as well as system testing

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings.

  • To qualify, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require VISA sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment purposes.

Compensation:

The total compensation will include a base salary, performance-based bonus opportunities, 401(K) match, profit-sharing opportunities, and more.
