Job description

Position: Dell Boomi Integration Engineer โ€“ UKG Pro

Location: Atlanta, GA (Remote)

Duration: Long term contract

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Dell Boomi Integration Engineer with strong expertise in UKG Pro (UltiPro) integrations to design, build, and support scalable integration solutions. The role will focus on connecting UKG Pro with downstream and upstream enterprise systems using Dell Boomi iPaaS, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performance data exchanges.

Key Responsibilities:

Integration Design & Development

  • Design, develop, and deploy integrations using Dell Boomi AtomSphere
  • Build and maintain UKG Pro inbound and outbound integrations
  • Develop APIs, real-time, near-real-time, and batch integrations
  • Configure Boomi processes using connectors, maps, profiles, and process routes
  • UKG Pro Integrations

Implement integrations for UKG Pro modules such as:

  • Core HR
  • Payroll
  • Benefits
  • Time & Attendance
  • Talent Management
  • Integrate UKG Pro with third-party systems including ERP, finance, benefits vendors, and identity systems
  • Data Mapping & Transformation
  • Perform data mapping and transformations using XML, JSON, flat files, and EDI formats
  • Handle complex data validations, error handling, and reconciliation processes
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems
  • API & Middleware Development
  • Design and consume REST and SOAP APIs
  • Implement secure integrations using OAuth, certificates, SFTP, and encryption
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of integrations
  • Testing & Deployment
  • Support unit testing, system testing, and UAT for integration solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration failures and data issues
  • Assist with production deployments, monitoring, and support
  • Documentation & Collaboration
  • Create and maintain integration design documents and technical specifications
  • Work closely with functional teams, HR, payroll, and business stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end integration solutions

Required Skills & Experience:

Mandatory Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience with Dell Boomi (AtomSphere)
  • Strong hands-on experience integrating UKG Pro (UltiPro)
  • Experience building Boomi APIs and web services
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS and Payroll integration concepts

Technical Skills:

  • Dell Boomi connectors, process shapes, and integration patterns
  • REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, XSD, flat files
  • Secure file transfer (SFTP), encryption, and authentication mechanisms
  • Experience with error handling, logging, and monitoring

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
