In recent years, Double Good has seen 40% year over year growth, and we're excited about our future! We're excited about the possibility of you joining our mission. We are looking for a Sr. HR Operations Specialist - UKG Ready to join our growing People team.

Location - This is a hybrid role based out of our Elmhurst location and will require occasional visits to our Burr Ridge and downtown Chicago locations.

About the role:

The People Team Operations Specialist owns the configuration, optimization, and data integrity of UKG Ready, partnering across the People Team, Payroll, and IT to deliver seamless employee experiences and trusted insights that fuel Double Good's growth and our purpose to Create Joy.

This role is the People Team's subject matter expert for UKG Ready and the operational backbone of the employee lifecycle. The Specialist owns end-to-end administration of UKG Ready-including Core HR, TLM (Time & Labor Mgmt), Benefits, Payroll, Onboarding, Advanced Scheduler, Attendance, Compensation, Performance Management, and other modules as they are implemented or optimized-supporting team members across our Elmhurst, Chicago, Burr Ridge, and remote locations. They are accountable for system configuration, workflow design, data integrity, reporting, and contribute to continuous improvement of People Operations processes that scale with the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Own UKG Ready configuration. Continue to refine existing modules and maintain UKG Ready across Core HR, TLM, Benefits, Payroll, Onboarding, Advanced Scheduler, Attendance, Compensation, Performance Management, and other modules as they are implemented-including pay rules, accrual policies, workflows, security profiles, org structure, and notifications.
  • Serve as the People Team's UKG Ready SME. Troubleshoot issues, evaluate and test platform releases, lead enhancement requests, and manage vendor escalations to keep the system running reliably and evolving with our needs.
  • Protect data integrity. Run regular audits, mass updates, and reconciliations between UKG Ready, payroll, and benefits' vendors; investigate and resolve discrepancies with urgency and care for the people behind the data.
  • Contribute to building reporting and insights. Work with the Director, People Operations & Technology to design and maintain reports and dashboards that give People Team and business leaders timely, accurate workforce data to inform decisions.
  • Document and educate. Create and maintain SOPs, configuration decisions, and end-user guides; train managers and team members on UKG Ready self-service so the People Team can scale knowledge across the company.
  • Assist with People Operations projects. Contribute to initiatives such as open enrollment, compliance reporting (ACA, EEO-1, state-specific), system upgrades, integrations, and process redesigns.
  • Champion an excellent team member experience. Respond to People Team inquiries with accuracy, empathy, and a continuous improvement mindset, looking for the better way every time.

Experience & Skills we value:

  • UKG Ready configuration experience (must-have). 2+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and configuring UKG Ready, including pay rules, accrual policies, workflows, security profiles, and reporting.
  • 5+ years of overall HRIS/HCM and People Operations experience supporting an organization of 200+ employees.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of UKG Ready Core HR, TLM, Benefits, Onboarding, Payroll, Compensation, Advanced Scheduler, Attendance and Performance Management modules; familiarity with Document Manager and People Assist modules.
  • Experience integrating UKG Ready with adjacent systems (ATS, benefits carriers, 401(k), single sign-on, learning platforms).
  • Experience supporting a multi-state, multi-location workforce that includes manufacturing, warehouse, or operations team members
  • Strong understanding of HR processes-payroll partnership, benefits administration, leave and time-off management, and compliance reporting (ACA, EEO-1, multi-state requirements).
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) and comfort working with large data sets.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communicator who can translate between technical and non-technical audiences and tailor messaging to managers, team members, and executives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or a related field-or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have and/or you'll learn:
