Job description

I. Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced UKG Architect to own end-to-end architecture for enterprise Workforce Management initiatives built on UKG Pro WFM. This role leads architecture, design, integration, implementation, and stabilization across UKG WFM, and serves as the technical authority for workforce management solutions. The Principal Architect sets architectural standards, resolves the most complex cross-system design problems, and represents WFM architecture in enterprise-wide technology decisions.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Architecture & Solution Design

  • Own end-to-end architecture and technical delivery for UKG Pro WFM modules, including Time and Attendance (Timekeeping), Advanced Scheduling, Accruals/Leave Management, Attestation, and Analytics/Reporting, and Datahub
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, compliant workforce management solutions, and define architecture standards, design patterns, and governance practices for the WFM technology stack
  • Own environment strategy across DEV, TEST, and PROD, including release/patch management, upgrade testing, and sandbox validation cadence

Integrations & Data

  • Architect integrations between UKG Pro WFM, HRIS (e.g., Oracle HCM), Datahub, Payroll, and downstream reporting/analytics systems, using integration platforms and methods such as APIs, middleware, and secure file transfer.
  • Define data governance standards for WFM data, including source-of-truth ownership, data quality controls, and reporting/analytics data models

Delivery & Support

  • Provide technical leadership across discovery, design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare for WFM programs
  • Support payroll workflows, labor compliance, workforce policies, and enterprise data governance initiatives
  • Troubleshoot complex, payroll-impacting integration defects and workforce management issues, partnering with support teams (including offshore delivery resources) to drive root-cause resolution
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, Operations, Digital, and external implementation vendors on enterprise WFM initiatives, representing architecture decisions to executive stakeholders
  • Mentor delivery teams, technical architects, and support staff; establish and enforce architecture standards, design review processes, and governance practices across the WFM landscape

III. Qualifications

B. Preferred Qualifications

  • 12+ years of overall IT experience, including progressive responsibility from technical/delivery roles into enterprise architecture
  • 10+ years of hands-on UKG Pro WFM and/or UKG Dimensions experience
  • 4+ years serving as a Principal Architect, Enterprise Architect, or equivalent senior technical authority on large-scale enterprise implementations, with demonstrated ownership of architecture decisions across multiple programs (not limited to a single implementation)
