Job description

TSS is seeking a security cleared (Active Top Secret) Mail Processing Clerk for the following duties:

  • Performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with processing incoming and outgoing shipments.ย 
  • In performing day-to-day, routine tasks, follows established guidelines.ย 
  • In handling unusual non-routine problems, seeks specific guidance from supervisor or other officials.ย 
  • May direct and coordinate the activities of other workers engaged in handling goods for receipt and delivery.ย 
  • Inspects, inventories, and documents incoming and outgoing shipments of mail / merchandise / property.ย 
  • Assists with special inspections.ย 
  • Verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records
  • Checking for damaged goods
  • Insuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment
  • Preparing and keeping records of goods received.ย 
  • Delivers shipments to recipients.ย 
  • Prepares outbound shipments in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.ย 
  • Assists with other tasks as necessary to ensure the success of the team.

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance Required
