GENERAL DESCRIPTION
As a member of the Applications and Closing Department in the Regional Water Project Development (RWPD) Division of the Office of Water Supply and Infrastructure (WSI) at the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB), you will play an essential role in advancing the agency's mission of providing financial assistance for the conservation and responsible development of water for Texas.
Performs moderately complex (journey-level) to complex (journey-level) engineering application review work. Work involves technical analysis and evaluation of engineering and other project information included in financial assistance applications submitted to the TWDB for consideration for funding. Proposes project schedules, budgets, contracts, and other required project and program documents for water, wastewater, stormwater, and other eligible infrastructure projects funded by TWDB. Ensures TWDB-funded projects comply with Board rules and design criteria, and engineering and construction related program requirements. Makes recommendations on eligibility for funding and project approval. May train others. Works under general supervision, with limited to moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Manager of the Applications Department - Project Assessment.
