External - Posting Description Fuel Accounting Analyst II - 518454 Organization: Finance Department: Power Supply & Fuels Work Location: Chattanooga or Knoxville, Tennessee Relocation: Relocation benefits are not offered for this position. Posting Open: 07/20/2026 Posting Close: 07/26/2026 at 11:59 PM EST Salary: Competitive The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in analysis and accounting. Experience with payables and transactional settlement is highly preferred.

POSITION PURPOSE: Responsible for accounting and reporting for various TVA transactions including, but not limited to, Fuel-related commodity costs, leases, benefit plans, and variable interest entities (VIEs) including reconciliation and disclosure support. Other areas of accounting responsibilities may include, but not be limited to, derivative accounting and reporting,TVA's Fuel Cost Adjustment, TVA's payments in lieu of taxes (PILOT) process. Responsible for providing information for TVA's SEC filings.

Other accountabilities within these activities include, but may not be limited to, supporting TVA's financial statement integrity, supporting Sarbanes-Oxley control environment compliance, supporting the development of training for TVA's accountants, supporting the development of the annual fuel contracting plan, budget and forecast reporting, performing financial analysis, supporting business system development and integration, and supporting system and process improvements. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Perform transactional accounting and account reconciliations for general ledger accounts, as appropriate. Continuously improve accounting acumen by attending continuous education courses including internal accounting training courses Support and maintain a superior control environment by owning, complying with, certifying, and enhancing (as appropriate) Sarbanes-Oxley controls.

Stay abreast of SEC rules and interpretations for compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, professional standards and guidance from authoritative sources such as the AICPA, and industry best practices for process design, analysis, and documentation. Analyze key business processes, procedures and systems and recommends strategies for balancing strong internal controls with improved efficiency and effectiveness through process simplification, streamlining and standardization. Assists in development and delivery of TVA-wide training and presentations on business processes and controls associated with financial reporting.

Support the development of related business systems that contain accounting transactions. Support an environment of continuous improvement in Technology & Innovation, as well as accounting & control processes. Budget and forecast preparation MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education - A Bachelor's degree is required.

Field of study in accounting or finance is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in a related field of study, with related education, training & experience will be considered. An advanced degree in accounting, finance or business administration is desirable.

Experience - At least two years of related professional experience in financial management, business systems and controls Certification/License, etc - Professional certifications (such as a Certified Public Accountant license) are encouraged. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Must have working knowledge of general business, financial systems and controls, computer skills, and financial analysis techniques. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to communicate clearly orally and in writing.

Strong commitment to and skills in employee communication and the ability to build teamwork and convey mission, objective, expectations and philosophy. Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position / access requirements and essential job functions.
