External - Posting Description Regional Boilermaker 518659 Organization: Generation Projects and Fleet Services Department: West Region Work Location: Allen Combined Cycle Relocation: Relocation benefits are not offered for this position Posting Open: 8/12/2026 Posting Close: 8/14/2026 at 11:59 PM EST Salary: $110,345 Duties This position will be home based at an assigned location but will require heavy travel to temporary work locations throughout the TVA service territory. Although travel may be required across the TVA service territory, TVA will endeavor to avoid extended travel outside of one's region by distributing such assignments to qualified employees closest to the job assignment when possible. The major portion of duties as Regional Boilermaker will be maintenance work, and periodical checking of general operating conditions of mechanical equipment.

May be required to support TVA construction projects as well as general maintenance work. A minor portion of time will involve general maintenance repairs to boilers, soot blowers, drums, tubes, ash - and coal-handling equipment, pulverizers, ducts and breeching, tanks, air preheaters, coal bunkers, burners, heaters, evaporators, etc. A portion of the time will be spent in burning and welding on above-mentioned equipment and other minor jobs.

May be assigned and will perform other work they are certified/qualified to perform. Qualifications This position requires some independent responsibility in determining the conditions of boiler equipment as related to overstressing materials subjected to pressure and temperature. High school education or equivalent.

Must have been actively engaged in and responsible for similar to work for a period of four or more years. Must be certified as possessing boilermaker craft journeyman level skills, including certification through the Common Arc program. This certification is established through successful completion of a TVA-recognized, DOL-approved craft journeyman boilermaker apprenticeship program.

May be required to satisfactorily demonstrate their aptitude and ability to perform the job through a welding test, if applicable, prior to being selected. Must be able to work various schedules and overtime as needed. Must meet the physical and medical requirements of the job.

Must perform all duties in a safe and professional manner and abide by all safety rules and regulatory requirements. May be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position/essential job functions, as well as home site access requirements.
