Sales Accounting Clerk
North Huntingdon, PA
Do you have a keen eye for detail and a knack for numbers? Are you passionate about the automotive industry and want to be part of a winning team? If so, then the Jim Shorkey Auto Group wants you!
We are searching for a meticulous and organized Sales Accounting Clerk to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our sales department's financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate sales journals and databases.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures for the sales department such as verify deal gross profit, vehicle count, balancing all vehicle sale and cost of sale accounts and assisting management team with additional tasks as needed.
  • Generate sales reports and analyze sales trends.
  • Communicate effectively with sales staff, accounting department, and customers regarding sales transactions.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in sales data.
  • Stay up to date on industry's best practices for sales accounting.
  • Will oversee the sales accounts for 3 of our locations.

Other duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Processing Deals with Dealership programs.
  • Performing other accounting administrative, and documentation task as required.

Work Schedule & Pay:
  • Primarily work from home.
  • Will conduct monthly store visits to all 3 locations.
  • Hours are Monday - Friday 8am to 4pm (with occasional weekends towards the end of the month).
  • Starting pay is $14 per hour.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales accounting or a related field (preferred).
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data in a timely manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with dealership accounting software a plus.
  • Passion for the automotive industry a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean MVR.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-screen drug test and background check.
  • Must live within the outer limits of the Pittsburgh, Pa area.
