About the Role

SNY is looking for a Producer/Editor with a love of sports who can create and execute promotional concepts that enforce SNYโ€™s brand of being the โ€œHome of All Things New York Sportsโ€ across on-air, digital, and social platforms. This includes conceptualization, copywriting, producing, and editing spots for programming and digital content. This role reports to our Director, Multi-Platform Promotions.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Conceptualize, write and edit impactful on-air promotional concepts, from quick turnaround daily Mets game topicals to brand campaigns reinforcing SNY as the โ€œHome Of All Things New York Sportsโ€.
  • You will produce original and engaging social media content designed to promote SNY programming, events, and brand initiatives while driving audience engagement.
  • Collaborate with on-air talent and sports figures to create customized promotions that enhance visibility and extend SNYโ€™s reach.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental promotional activities, working closely with marketing, sales, news, and digital teams to support special events, live game coverage, sny.tv, and multi-platform campaigns.
  • Oversee production elements, including on-camera shoots and voice-over sessions, ensuring creative consistency and high-quality execution.
  • Contribute to special projects and support additional promotional initiatives as assigned.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in communications, Media, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 yearsโ€™ experience in television or digital production, with a strong focus on promotions and brand storytelling, and multi-platform content creation.
  • Exceptional creative writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling, brand-aligned narratives that response across diverse audiences.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in Avid Media Composer, After Effects, and Photoshop with the demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality content.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of production and post-production workflows, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills, with proven ability to drive multiple projects forward while meeting critical deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across creative, marketing, and editorial teams.
  • Strong understanding of digital and social media platforms, including current trends, audience engagement strategies, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of sports, both regionally and nationally, with the ability to translate insight into engaging, relevant promotional content.
  • You have a strong attention to Detail: Commitment to quality and precision in both creative output and technical execution.
  • You enjoy working in a faced paced evolving environment and work well adjusting to shifting priorities.
