Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Coordinate material control systems, inbound/outbound shipments, and materials handling activities and inventory control primarily from the shop floor.
  • Coordinate all material handler activities.
  • Coordinate activities for warehouse layout.
  • Training, coaching, developing the material handling team.
  • Implement and assist in development of cycle counting and pull system for each commodity.
  • Manage/coordinate the receiving and DMR processes.
  • Manage the input of incoming receipts on a regular timely basis.
  • Manage the process of outbound shipments.
  • Coordinate all customs compliance requirements.
  • Observes Materials/Production operation within their area of control to ascertain
  • Compliance with methods, quality standards, safety regulations, 5's and Production/Materials Standards.
  • Efficient operation of equipment: takes corrective action to eliminate any deviation.
  • Assist in maintaining and revising visual inventory benchmarks standards.
  • Daily coordination of Production builds schedules.
  • Daily floor walks
  • Liaison between Materials and Productions
  • Coordinate any outside warehouse activities.
  • Run RPS history reports and cumulative reports verifying receipts have been collected in RPS file.
  • Manage the process of supplier cum reconciliation.

Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality system.
  • Manage and maintain onsite replenishment of Trailers (Shelve)
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.
  • Initiate, recommend, and provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Control further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
  • Actively participates in Health/Safety/Environmental investigations and the 8D process in order to develop root cause analysis for problem resolution as required.

Reporting accidents, occupational illnesses, and HSE&E emergencies, and inform supervisor of known HSE&E conditions which could adversely affect other team members, assets or to the public.
  • Ensures compliance with all safety procedures and ensures safe working procedures in assigned material areas.
