Shift schedules are usually assigned based on operational needs, which can sometimes make maintaining a consistent routine challenging, but many airports offer options for shift bidding with seniority. New hires should be flexible and prepared for variable hours, but over time, opportunities for schedule preferences and advancement can improve work-life balance.
