Logistics Security Officer

Logistics Warehouse Security Officer


Location: Des Plaines, IL

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour



We are seeking a professional, observant, and detail-oriented Logistics Warehouse Security Officer to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining the safety, security, and operational efficiency of a busy warehouse and distribution facility.


Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control access for employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers.
  • Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of warehouse floors, storage areas, yard space, and docks.
  • Monitor security cameras, alarms, and other surveillance systems.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, alarms, or safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, visitor/truck entries, and incidents.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and incoming officers during shift hand-offs.
Required Qualifications
  • Illinois 20-Hour Unarmed Security Training Certificate
  • Active Illinois PERC License
  • Previous security experience, preferably in warehouse, logistics, distribution, or industrial settings
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; must clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, indoors and outdoors
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional, calm, and dependable in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment
  • Ability to accurately document activities and follow established procedures
