Job description

Overview: Seeking a skilled Multifamily Truss Designer to play a vital role in the construction of multi-unit residential buildings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create safe, efficient, and code-compliant truss systems.


Responsibilities:

  • Design truss systems for multi-unit residential buildings, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to codes.
  • Develop detailed truss layout drawings and fabrication documents using specialized software.
  • Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness and material efficiency.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate truss designs seamlessly.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide on-site guidance as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in truss design, especially for multifamily projects.
  • Proficiency in MiTek or other CAD based truss design software.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Prefer a minimum of an Associate Degree in Design
