Job description

STARTING STIPEND:$1,946+ (Based on Experience)
SUMMARY:  To achieve and maintain standards of excellence in club activities, while allowing all participants to develop gain through individual and group experiences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.



  1. Recruits members.
  2. Encourages participation.
  3. Plans and supervises all club activities and meetings.
  4. Maintains all necessary records, reports, and budgetary accounts.
  5. Oversees fund raising efforts, if applicable.
  6. Secures and maintains equipment and supplies that are needed for club activities.
  7. Represents the district in a professional manner.
  8. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve an effective and safe learning environment.
  9. Other duties may be assigned according to activity area or building assignments.

 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises and advises students of particular club activity.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:   Background or interest in the particular club activity. Experience at the specific school level preferred. 
COMMUNICATION AND LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of students, parents or employees of the district.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Exhibit qualities of leadership and organizational ability and reflect a spirit of cooperation in working with staff and school administration.  Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community.  Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in verbal and written form.  Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and School Board policies.  Ability to use technology to accomplish job responsibilities that may include basic knowledge of e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
ANALYTICAL AND REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
TEMPERAMENTS:  Ability to direct others and deal with people.  Ability to perform a variety of duties.

The specific vision requirements of the job include good depth perception and occasionally being able to see objects/persons at a distance.  While performing the duties of the job the employee frequently is required to hear conversation in quiet as well as a noisy environment and be able to tell where a sound is coming from.  The employee must be able to communicate to the team in order to give directions.
