Trophy Nissan is hiring a full-time Automotive Parts Counter Associate / Parts Counterperson for our high-volume Nissan dealership in Mesquite, TX.

We are looking for a dependable, customer-focused individual to assist customers, service advisors, and automotive technicians with parts lookup, parts sales, ordering, inventory, and special orders.

Candidates with previous automotive dealership parts experience, Nissan parts experience, or CDK experience are strongly encouraged to apply. If you have worked as a Parts Counterperson, Parts Advisor, Parts Specialist, Parts Associate, or Automotive Parts Sales Associate, we want to hear from you.

Automotive Parts Counter Responsibilities

As a Parts Counter Associate, you will:

  • Assist retail customers, service advisors, and technicians with automotive parts inquiries and orders
  • Look up and accurately identify automotive parts for customers and technicians
  • Pull and fill parts orders from dealership inventory
  • Maintain accurate and organized parts inventory
  • Stock and properly label incoming parts
  • Place special-order parts and follow up with customers, vendors, and dealership personnel
  • Notify appropriate departments and customers when special-order parts are received
  • Monitor special-order parts and S.O. aging according to department procedures
  • Notify the Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts, shop supplies, and materials requiring immediate attention
  • Receive payment from retail parts customers or obtain proper credit authorization
  • Maintain accurate and timely parts invoices, orders, and paperwork
  • Assist with inventory control and maintaining an organized Parts Department
  • Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone
  • Work closely with the Service Department to help technicians receive the correct parts quickly
  • Follow all dealership Parts Department policies and procedures
Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who are friendly, dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive dealership.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Automotive parts experience preferred
  • Dealership Parts Department experience preferred
  • Nissan parts experience is a plus
  • CDK experience is a plus
  • Automotive parts catalog and parts lookup experience is a plus
  • Parts inventory and ordering experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a high-volume dealership environment
  • Professional and team-oriented attitude
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to reliably commute to Mesquite, TX 75150, or relocate before starting work
  • Must be able to successfully complete pre-employment screening, including a background check and drug test
Compensation

$2,500–$7,000 per month, including commission opportunities

Actual compensation may vary based on experience, performance, and applicable pay plan.
