PositionOverview:

Bayliner, Trophy & Heyday, a leading manufacturer of recreational fiberglass boats, has an opening for a District Business Manager. This individual will be responsible for determining the right strategic dealer locations for each brand, executing boat sales to achieve budgeted goals, and building profitable market share in a designated territory through active territory management and dealer marketing support. The position has direct responsibility for all product sales, training, and achieving sales forecasts within their region.

This role will support the Northeast territory, beginning in Northern Virginia and extending through West Virginia, Ohio, and Eastern Canada. The position requires approximately 70%-80% travel, with travel demands ebbing and flowing throughout the year based on business needs, dealer visits, and boat show schedules, resulting in some quarters requiring heavier travel than others. The ideal candidate will reside within the territory or within a reasonable commuting distance to effectively support the region

EssentialFunctions:

  • Direct sales responsibility for brands within assigned sales territory

  • Meet or exceedsales objectiveswhilemaintainingacceptable gross margins.

  • Establish and manage yearly dealer sales targets and provide the company withaccuratesales and inventory forecasts.

  • Plan and execute territory sales plans and strategies as part of overall company strategy.

  • Ensure deadlines are met for sales and serviceagreement, annual planningtargetsand order dates.

  • Manages the strategic direction of the brands' dealer network within territory to optimize sales coverage which includes identification of white space distribution opportunities and underperforming dealerships and development of strategies to correct underperforming dealers.

  • Establish and maximize strong dealer and customer relationships.

  • Assistbrands in product development, pricing and retail and wholesale incentive programs.

  • Carry-out brand-specific training programs for dealers whenrequired.

  • Provide input into product materials, including catalogs, brochures, website content, boatshowsand other marketing events.

  • Assistbrands and dealers with event planning and execution, including boat shows, dealer open-housesand otherlike events.

  • Create dealer-specific marketing plans for each territory in the region. This also may include teaching the dealer how to maximize investment through e-marketing, etc.

  • Work with our internal customer service team tomonitorand improvethe dealersCSI and NPS scores.

  • Support communication across Brunswick business units, particularly Mercury Marine and other Brunswick boat companies.

  • Providecompanywithaccurateandtimelycompetitive information.

Diversityofthought and experiencesisfundamental whenimaginingthe unimaginable.Certain skillsets/experiencesare necessary;however,others can be developedalong the way.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years in sales or sales management, preferably in the marine or power sports industry.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing distribution channels and dealer networks.

  • Experience with territory management and customer call planning.

  • Strong computer skills, includingproficiencyin Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint -- e-marketing skills a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal,communicationand presentation skills.

  • Understanding ofbasic financial statements (Income, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow.)

  • Proficiencywith problem analysis and resolution at both strategic and functionallevel.

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

  • Willingness to travel up to 70% -80%.

  • Valid passport required or willingness to obtain one upon hire.

Theanticipatedpay range for this position is$84,500to $123,900annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a short-term incentive program.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.
