The Role:
As Maintenance Manager, you support the Facilities Manager in overseeing maintenance operations at our Tribeca facility. Responsibilities include coordinating the local maintenance team, ensuring efficient maintenance, overseeing preventive and corrective processes, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety protocols, and supporting overall facility management.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance
  • Perform the duties of a Maintenance Technician (4 Rota days) within the department's rotation while also being responsible for onboarding, training, and team management of technicians.
  • Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance processes established in the "Procedure maintenance manual" are executed.

Technical Operations Assistance
  • Identifying necessary repairs or investments to meet cleanliness and repair standards and communicating them to the Regional Maintenance Manager.
  • Assist in monitoring various indicators such as pool conditions, temperature, cleaning, and disinfection standards, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Aid in maintaining stock control of necessary products, and following corporate protocols to avoid shortages.

People Management
  • Responsible for the recruitment, training, and development of the maintenance team.
  • Provide feedback to team members regarding their performance and development opportunities.
  • Assist in planning and supervising the daily work and shifts of the maintenance team.
  • Accountable for handling all team callouts, absences, vacation planning, and schedule change requests.
  • Collaborate with the NY Facilities Manager and other operational departments in daily briefings, highlighting relevant aspects affecting the spa's operations.

Safety, Health, and Regulations
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety principles and protocols within the spa.
  • Support in proposing improvements for the efficient and sustainable use of products and resources.
  • Assist in generating necessary reports of incidents and improvements, reporting them to higher management.

Who You Are:
  • Minimum 3 year of exposure to team management and coordination activities. Required.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in technical maintenance, within spa facilities or similar environments. Required.
  • Extensive electricity operations knowledge is Required.
  • Experience with facility-wide operations (maintenance, HVAC, water treatment, etc.).
  • Certified pool/spa operator (CPO) is a plus.
  • Experience multi-tasking, analytical thinking, and making data-informed decisions.
  • Experience leading a team by example - willing to assist with tasks.
  • Solve problems with urgency and accuracy.
  • Detail-oriented: follow and give detailed instructions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Must have adequate vision and hearing to properly interpret water analyses and equipment readings, as well as complete record keeping.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 80 pounds).
  • Physically able to perform all aspects of cleaning, checking, and monitoring pools and the facility.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
