Job description

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Treasury Solutions Specialist to join our team. This position will provide issue resolution to treasury customers via phone call/email relate to treasury products. Perform maintenance and new product setup on customer accounts, and deliver a superior on-boarding experience by building connectivity to solidify the relationship with the customer and ensure that service is provided in an exemplary fashion.

As part of this role you will:

  1. Develop expertise in the use of the various treasury products.
  2. Answer incoming calls and deliver extraordinary service that exceeds the caller’s expectations. Handle calls with professionalism, demonstrating a sense of ownership, with a goal of one call resolution achieving established service standards.
  3. Answer customer questions, resolve issues and provide in-depth client and internal sales staff support on all treasury products (deposit products, Online Banking, ACH, Remote Deposit Capture, Wire Transfer, Positive Pay, Account Analysis, Loans, Bill Pay, etc.).
  4. Perform maintenance on customer accounts and work closely with the Treasury management Sales team to set up new customers and perform the on-boarding of new customers (i.e. training on products).
  5. Assist with special assignments, projects, or other work-related duties as assigned to ensure strategic support.
  6. Assist with outbound calls as needed.
  7. Provide personalized service that supports the client’s needs and builds the relationship.
  8. Assist with online banking enrollments as needed.

In order to be successful in this position, we require the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Over one (1) year of customer service experience.

The following would be a plus:

  • Knowledge of treasury products.
  • Prior banking experience.
  • Microsoft product knowledge (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
