Travel Administrative Authorization Representative
Near Pasadena, CA Area
Length of Assignment: 13-Week Contract (Full-Time / Part-Time / Per Diem Shifts Available)
Our Client is a nonprofit, independent healthcare organization committed to improving the health status of the communities we serve through:
  • Leadership and excellence in delivering quality healthcare services
  • Expanding the horizons of medical knowledge through biomedical research
  • Educating and training physicians and other healthcare professionals
Non-clinical: All time spent by Non-Clinical Personnel in Client-provided or required orientation or training is billable at the regularly applicable rate. All time spent completing modules are billable.
Job Description:
  • Must have experience in all 3 departments and stated clearly on resume
  • Experience with HMO/PPO and Indemnity plans
  • Must have experience in all 3 plans, stated clearly on resume
  • Knowledge of patient benefit summaries
  • Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions
Required Qualifications:
  • Monitor and respond to e-mail and electronic medical record inbox/in-baskets messages and other communications in a timely manner throughout the work day
  • Assist in obtaining prior authorizations from insurance plans
  • Assist with data collection and entry when needed
  • Facilitate communication with clinics/departments
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Epic Link
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Travel Experience Required
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience with prior authorizations in the following fields/ departments (Ortho/Radiology/Surgical)
