American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Orthopedics Med/Surg position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, working 3x12-hour night shifts.
Job Details
• Acute care hospital setting - Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility with 562 total staffed beds,
• 38-bed Orthopedics unit,
• 13-week contract, night shift (18:45-07:15), 3x12-hour shifts per week,
• Required to work every other weekend,
• Floating is required for all travelers - may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility,
• No on-call requirements,
• Charting via Cerner (experience preferred),
• Free parking available via permit obtained during orientation,
Job Requirements
• Active IL RN license required - pending licensure not accepted,
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,
• BLS required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI cards not accepted); ACLS preferred,
• PICC line management and IV starts required,
• Telemetry experience preferred,
• Cerner EMR experience preferred,
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred,
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration,
Additional Information
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction,
• Any current or former permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler,
• Travel pairs are not accepted,
• RTO of 5 days or fewer is generally accommodated; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval,
• Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays,
• Scrub color: any solid color,
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
