Job description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Telemetry unit position at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and Trauma Center background.
Job Details
• Telemetry unit in a large, short-term acute care hospital with over 1,500 staffed beds,
• Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center,
• Average patient ratios of 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights,
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:30,
• Charting performed in Epic,
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs,
• No on-call responsibilities,
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,
• Royal blue scrubs required,
• Parking is available at a cost of approximately $125/month,
Job Requirements
• Active CT or compact RN license required; pending license accepted but must be active prior to start date,
• Current BLS certification required,
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,
• Prior Trauma Center experience at a large facility required,
• Must have a clean nursing license with no prior disciplinary actions,
• 1 professional reference required for consideration,
Additional Information
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler,
• RTO of up to 7 days may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval,
• Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted,
• COVID vaccination and booster required; religious or medical exemptions are accepted,
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
