Description/Job Summary
The Registration Specialist provides front-line support for student registration and enrollment processes. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of student records, assists with course registration, and delivers exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff. The position requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with student information systems, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Associate Director of Records and Registration.
Responsibilities/Duties
  • Assists with transcript evaluation and processing
  • Process registration forms, add/drop requests, and maintain accurate student records Process adds/drops
  • Maintain student files, including new, active, inactive files
  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with professionalism and accuracy
  • Assist with maintenance of student files college wide (Admissions, Credit, Continuing Education, Grant programs)
  • Process transcript requests
  • Update student demographic data
  • Collaborate with Financial Aid, Advising, and other departments to ensure seamless student experience
  • Support enrollment reporting and compliance with FERPA and institutional policies
  • Provides back up for other office functions in the absence of other office staff
  • Schedule appointments, prepare correspondence, and support departmental projects and events
  • Experience with creating and maintaining confidential records.

Required Qualifications
Education:
  • Associate's degree required

Experience:
  • One (1) year of experience in student services, registration, or related administrative role which must include the following:
    1. Operation and use of spreadsheet and database management software programs (e.g., MS Office Suite, MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, etc.) and the Internet browser, web sites and e-mail.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours
  • Evening and weekend hours are required for this position. Travel to different College sites and locations may be required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Two (2) years of experience in student services, registration, or related administrative role.
  • Proficiency with student information systems (e.g., Banner, Colleague).

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
