The Terminal Manager is directly responsible for local safety management, driver recruiting and staffing, vehicle maintenance, and the overall efficient, effective cost management of the operation while complying with all regulatory agencies including, but not limited to DOT, OSHA, and FDA requirements at our facility. The Terminal Manager supports a 24/7 operation with staffing working around the clock.

  • Responsible for the supervision, training, and performance of direct reports, including bulk drivers, mechanics, and office staff.

  • Supervises rolling stock maintenance and controls expenses through proper scheduling of preventative maintenance and coordination with 3rd party vendors.

  • Directly accountable for the recruitment and retention of drivers to ensure sufficient staffing levels and customer service excellence.

  • Promotes and develops safe work behaviors and coaching to reduce injuries and accidents; conducts required monthly safety meetings and accident investigations.

  • Develops and maintains a sustainable audit process for driver files, vehicle maintenance records, and shipping papers to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Accountable for DOT Hours of Service compliance for all drivers at assigned terminals.

  • Drives continuous improvement across safety, customer service, and efficiency KPIs while ensuring maximum utilization of vehicles and equipment.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 4-6 years of operations management experience supervising a staff (in lieu of a degree).
  • 3+ years of Distribution or Logistics experience.
  • Must currently hold a valid US Driver's License.
  • Proficiency in Google applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail) and the ability to maintain electronic files.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of operations management experience supervising a staff.
  • Previous experience in the industrial and/or specialty gas business.
  • Experience with Bulk Transportation and fleet maintenance.
  • Strong mathematical abilities and knowledge of DOT/FDA regulatory requirements.
