Job Opportunity: Academic Multiorgan Transplant Surgeon
Our organization is looking to hire an Academic Multiorgan Transplant Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level within the Department of Surgery, Division of Transplantation. We are seeking a candidate with expertise in kidney, liver, and pancreas transplantation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct adult liver and kidney transplantation procedures, emphasizing minimally invasive nephrectomy techniques.
- Perform general surgery procedures for transplant patients, with potential involvement in hepatobiliary surgery.
- Engage in undergraduate and graduate medical education initiatives.
- Participate actively in clinical care, teaching, research, and university service.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be board eligible or certified in general surgery.
- Possess a valid medical license in Illinois prior to the start date.
- Completion of an ASTS-approved fellowship is required.
- Must meet UNOS criteria for liver and kidney transplant surgeons; criteria for pancreas transplantation is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, which includes:
- Starting salary ranging from $159,000 to $985,945, based on academic rank and experience.
