Job description

Automotive Transmission Rebuilder

Position Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, rebuild and repair automotive transmission systems to specifications- knowledge of electrical and computer systems is a plus
  • Explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include other teammates and customers as required
  • Remove and Reinstall Transmission systems
  • Assist other technicians in performing technical activities
  • Continuously learns new technical information and techniques informal training session in order to stay abreast with the rapidly changing automotive technology
  • Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
  • Maintains an organized service department

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience working as a Automotive Transmission Rebuilder
  • Hold a valid driver’s license
  • Own professional grade tools
  • Experience with mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience specific to transmission rebuilding
  • Ability to communicate solutions to others
  • ASE certifications a plus
  • Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment
