JOB DESCRIPTION: TRANSMISSION REBUILDER

$20.00-$40.00 per hour depending on experience

Summary

creating The Old Reliable Experience. While employed with Leon's Transmission Services, you

are responsible to uphold and adhere to all behaviors outlined here.

The Rebuilder works in tandem with an experienced transmission repair team to repair

damages. This job entails the rebuilding of transmissions with some limited general repair

duties.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • • Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of
  • Leon’s Transmission.
  • • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep shops
  • operating to standard and to set a positive example for the supervisor team.
  • • Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and
  • inventory as needed.
  • • Must follow all Policies and Procedures set forth by Leon’s Transmission Services.
  • • Explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may
  • include other teammates and customers as required
  • • Inspect transmission and identify failure
  • • Complete accurate parts list
  • • Assemble transmission correctly
  • • Attend transmission seminars to keep up to date with new technology
  • • Perform any task asked of by Manager and/or immediate Supervisor
  • • Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur

Qualifications

  • • 2+ years’ experience working with automotive transmissions or equivalent
  • • Extensive knowledge of automotive industry and parts
  • • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • •Ability to communicate equally well with mechanics, customers and senior management
  • • Available to perform many different tasks within the shop during each shift.
  • • Demonstrated commitment to continued education
  • • Previous transmission repair experience required
  • • A valid state driver's license in order to drive customer or company vehicles

Education

High School diploma or GED equivalent
