The Transit Market Leader will work closely with executive leadership, clients, and partners to set national strategy, expand capabilities, and advance HNTB's position at the forefront of the transit industry.

What You'll Do:

  • Researches respective markets, develops client relationships and identifies business opportunities within area of specialty and across the country.
  • Typically nationally well-known as an expert in the respective industry with strong client connections.
  • Provides firm-wide leadership and guidance in area of specialty and provides oversight on specialty operations.
  • Provides access for all divisions and offices to the best firmwide resources needed to win and deliver HNTB's 4 for 4 performance (Consistend delivery of quality work, on time, on budget and to the clients satisfaction on every project) on mega projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • 14 years relevant experience
  • In lieu of degree, 18 years of relevant experience.

What We Prefer:

  • Develop and lead strategies for HNTB's profitable growth within the transit market sector.
  • Work with leadership to broaden the range of transit services provided by HNTB and to grow the staff and practice resources needed to provide superior value to aviation clients.
  • Work with HNTB client and project teams to identify, pursue, win, and deliver the largest and most challenging assignments in the industry.
  • Lead the development of the strategic plan for the transit market based on industry involvement, client contact, and interaction with HNTB client service leaders and project managers.
  • Maintain knowledge of national and local transit markets.
  • Identify trends and future opportunities.
  • Identify and propose additional resources and organizational strategies to capitalize on identified opportunities.
  • Develop and lead a nationally connected transit practice, integrating firmwide resources.
  • Collaborate with HNTB government affairs leaders to develop effective government relations programs at the state and national levels.
  • Maintain relationships with Federal Transit Administration officials.
  • Participate in and leadultra, supermega and mega strategy planning.
  • Participate in mega-project pursuit activities.
  • Coordinate and lead firmwide transit resources, including, but not limited to, planning, finance, program management, terminal design, airfield design, landside design, and construction management.
  • Oversee and manage transit resources to ensure that HNTB has full complement of top-level capabilities, strategically deployed to successfully pursue and deliver projects.
