JOB TITLE: Facilities & Events Attendant

DIVISION: Solitude Base Operations

REPORTS TO: Facilities & Events Manager

LOCATION: Base Area, Mountain Area Facilities, Village

CLASSIFICATION: Seasonal/ Part-Time/ Full-Time/ Hourly

POSITION:

Solitude is looking for a self-motivated, hardworking individual who loves the mountain scene. The Facilities & Events Attendant is responsible for the day-to-day operations and upkeep of the mountain and base area facilities. This position is also responsible for set up and tear down of all Solitude Evens, both public and private. The ideal candidate will enjoy caretaking our facilities to ensure they are in tip-top shape for our guests. SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sufficient communication skills to answer guest questions
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Desire and ability to tolerate and work in varying weather conditions for extended periods of time including hot/cold temperatures, inclement weather, and moving between indoor and outdoor environments
  • Capable of stepping, climbing, kneeling, squatting, and reaching above shoulders as needed.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods of time and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and valid driver's license.
  • Have reliable transportationto get to work, participate in a resort sponsored transportation, carpooling, or public transportation program.
  • Some members of this team will require intermediate ski-ride ability to commute to on-mountain locations.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean public facilities including, but not limited to, lobby, corridors, elevators, stairways,and restroomsaccording to company standards and within required time frame.
  • Remove snow from walkways, restaurant patios, outdoor staircases.
  • Continuous collection of trash and debris, sweeping etc.
  • In winter months, ski/ride to facilities to perform duties.
  • Communicate in a pleasant and respectful manner with fellow employees and guests.
  • Set up and tear down all Solitude Mountain Resort Events, including concerts, weddings, corporate meetings, public and private events.
  • Assist guests with parking directions and with their equipment in loading zones. Possess and implement a thorough knowledge of appropriate procedures.
  • Keep shuttles clean inside and out for future guests, and other drivers.
  • Notify Manager of incidents, accidents, injuries,and property damage as soon as it occurs.
  • Transport trash and waste to designated disposal area
  • Stock, organize, and maintain guest supplies, sanitation and cleaning supplies, and other tools and items for the job
  • Use all materials, chemicals, and tools safely to avoid injury, waste, unnecessary damage, or accidents

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in facilities management, event planning, or a combination of both, with a demonstrated track record of successful events and effective facilities operations preferred.
