Job description

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely transporting guests and employees to and from designated areas on and around the Gamble Sands property. The driver delivers exceptional guest service by offering a warm welcome, courteous assistance, and local knowledge, ensuring a positive and professional representation of the resort.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate shuttle vans, golf carts, and other resort vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Provide prompt and professional transportation for resort guests between hotel, golf courses (Gamble Sands, Quicksands, Scarecrow), dining venues, parking lots, and special event areas.
  • Assist guests with luggage and golf equipment loading and unloading.
  • Maintain a clean, presentable vehicle interior and exterior; report any maintenance issues.
  • Monitor shuttle schedule and ensure timeliness for all transfers, pickups, and drop-offs.
  • Communicate delays or changes in schedule to the Front Desk or Transportation Supervisor.
  • Deliver clear and helpful resort information to guests, including event schedules, golf tee times, dining options, and activity locations.
  • Assist in special transportation needs, including ADA accessibility or group events.
  • Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and fuel usage reports as required.
  • Follow all safety procedures, resort policies, and local traffic regulations.
  • Support other departments with special deliveries or staff transfers when needed.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License with clean driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Prior experience in hospitality, transportation, or guest services preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist guests with mobility needs.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings or evenings.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with a customer-first attitude.
Work Environment:
  • Must be comfortable driving in all weather and road conditions.
  • Majority of time is spent outdoors or in a vehicle.
  • May be required to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
