Transportation Specialist (Human Services)

Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 / hour

Location: Harrisburg | Type: Full-Time & Part-Time Available

The Mission

At YTA, we provide more than just a ride; we provide a bridge to recovery. We specialize in the safe, confidential, and compassionate transportation of adults and adolescents transitioning to hospitals, treatment programs, and essential appointments.

We are looking for grounded, resilient individuals who can maintain a calm environment for passengers during what is often their most stressful moments.

The Role

As a Transportation Specialist, you are a driver, a professional, and a stabilizing presence. Your day-to-day includes:

  • Safe Transit: Operating company vehicles with a "safety-first" mindset.
  • Passenger Support: Assisting passengers in/out of vehicles and ensuring they reach their destination comfortably and on time.
  • De-escalation: Using your training to support passengers in emotional distress with empathy and self-control.
  • Vehicle Care: Performing quick pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure a clean, safe ride.
  • Documentation: Keeping accurate, professional logs of your trips and interactions.
