Job description

The Dispatcher shall oversee the daily coordination of the Members/Riders schedules to and from the Day Center or appointments as assigned to Elite Transportation. It is the responsibility of the Dispatcher to arrange the daily Logisticare Will Call trips in a manner that will satisfy Logisticare’s outlined requirements. The Dispatcher shall be responsible for validating Logisticare trips and approving the Transportation Specialist’s time worked on a daily basis. The Dispatcher will finalize time cards for the Transportation Specialists weekly and communicate personal time off and training hours that need to be paid each Monday to the payroll company for hours worked in the previous week. The Dispatcher will participate in weekly Transportation Operations calls and provide feedback relative to the overall operations of the Elite Transportation service line. The Dispatcher will coordinate compliance with Logisticare Requirements when Rider Complaints arise and gather all necessary supporting documentation per Elite Transportation policy. The Dispatcher shall be responsible for the logging of reported maintenance concerns for vehicles housed at the Depot the Dispatcher is assigned and shall coordinate with the contracted mobile mechanic as needed. The Dispatcher shall participate in an on-call rotation which includes early am/late pm and every other Saturday dispatching for Elite Transportation.

Work Experience & Education Requirements:
  • Previous professional experience with transportation of people including those with compromised mobility requiring wheelchair transportation (preferred).
  • Has a clean driving record (required).
  • Can meet health requirements of a DOT Physical (required).
  • High School or GED equivalent (required).
  • Experience in working around older adults and those with specialized care needs (preferred).
