Martin Bros. Distributing Co. is a nationally recognized foodservice distributor, and we are hiring!
Job Overview:
The primary responsibility of the shuttle driver is to shuttle full trailers from the Madison depot to other remote depots, and empty trailers back to the Madison depot. The shuttle driver starts their shift at approximately 5:00 pm Sunday through Thursday nights.
Shuttle drivers are responsible for safely transporting the route trailer they are assigned to the appropriate domicile location prior to the route leave time as assigned by schedule. Shuttle drivers will, prior to departure, collect all necessary documents for the appropriate route driver they are servicing, i.e., invoices, messages, credits from said driver's mailbox. Upon arriving at domicile location, shuttle drivers will transfer appropriate documents to the domicile driver's tractor and collect all documents left from the prior days route and bring back to the distribution center. Shuttle drivers will be responsible for taking supplies such as carts and envelopes to domicile drivers as needed.
  • The average driver is working 8-12 hour days and currently averages 40-50 hours per week.
  • Shuttle Routes work evening/overnight/early morning hours.
  • A Class A CDL is required with a good driving record.
  • The shuttle driver must be able to work independently.
