West Monroe is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our CIO Advisory team within the Operations Excellence practice. This role partners with CIOs and business leaders to deliver complex technology transformations by combining strategic problem solving, structured program leadership, and executive stakeholder engagement. Working alongside client leaders, system integrators, and cross-functional teams, the Senior Consultant will help establish governance, drive execution, navigate complex delivery challenges, and ensure technology initiatives achieve measurable business outcomes. Success in this role requires an entrepreneurial consulting mindset, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to bring structure to fast-paced, evolving client environments.

What You Will Do

  • Lead consulting workstreams within large-scale technology transformation engagements, balancing structured program execution with strategic problem solving and client advisory.
  • Support the design, launch, and operation of Transformation Offices that integrate governance, technology delivery, organizational change, enterprise architecture, vendor management, and value realization.
  • Partner with executive and functional stakeholders to facilitate decision making, build alignment, and maintain momentum across complex transformation initiatives.
  • Drive coordination across business, technology, vendor, and system integrator teams to resolve dependencies, manage delivery risks, and achieve successful client outcomes.
  • Identify emerging risks, challenge assumptions, escalate issues when appropriate, and develop practical recommendations to keep programs on track.
  • Facilitate executive and working sessions, synthesize complex information, and develop clear, data-driven recommendations and executive-ready communications.
  • Support enterprise technology initiatives, including ERP, CRM, HCM, cloud, digital, and other large-scale transformation programs.
  • Contribute to proposals, client pursuits, and solution development by translating client challenges into practical approaches and delivery strategies.
  • Develop reusable methodologies, tools, and templates that strengthen CIO Advisory capabilities and improve delivery quality.
  • Mentor junior consultants, contribute to recruiting and onboarding efforts, and actively support practice development initiatives.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations for clients, exercising sound judgment in evaluating outputs.
  • Apply AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, data models) to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4+ years of consulting experience with a leading consulting or professional services organization supporting enterprise technology transformation initiatives.
  • Experience leading consulting workstreams within complex technology transformation programs involving multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and delivery partners.
  • Experience working alongside system integrators and distributed delivery teams within enterprise implementation programs.
  • Experience supporting enterprise systems implementations such as ERP, CRM, HCM, cloud, or other technology-enabled business transformations.
  • Strong consulting, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions, navigate ambiguity, and build trusted client relationships.
  • Ability to think critically, structure ambiguous problems, and develop practical recommendations that balance business objectives with execution realities.
  • Knowledge of delivery methodologies including Agile, Scrum, SAFe, waterfall, iterative delivery, or PMI-based approaches.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with experience developing executive-level presentations and client-facing deliverables.
  • Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Ability to travel 25 to 50%.
