Job description


Finance employees receive, account for, monitor, and design internal controls to safeguard sacred funds (donated confidentially in obedience to God's commandments) for the Church's religious mission under the direction of senior ecclesiastical leaders.
The Testing and QA Lead for the global ERP digital transformation team will focus on leading the testing phase work across all releases, ensuring the quality and reliability of our ERP system.
This is an advanced-professional, individual contributor role.
Responsibilities
Test Leadership and Resource Allocation:
  • Lead the business effort in managing the testing phases across all releases.

Resource Allocation:
  • Allocate test resources efficiently to various testing activities.

Test Planning and Management:
  • Collaborate with functional, technical, and architecture teams to plan various tests, including system, user acceptance, and regression tests.
  • Determine all testing tenant requirements and tools needed for effective testing.
  • Oversee testers' work throughout test plan development and execution to ensure testing meets or exceeds established goals and timelines.
  • Work with the Solutions Manager, project management office analysts, and engineering managers to ensure the resolution and closure of defects during system implementation testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Defect Management and Issue Resolution: Manage the development process to ensure proper defect tracking, including identification, fixing, re-testing, and migration of defects.
  • Define and incorporate the defect tracking process into the overall development process if necessary.
  • Documentation and Quality Assurance: Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing processes, results, and defect management. Ensure that all testing activities adhere to quality standards and best practices.

Training and Continuous Improvement:
  • Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on testing processes and tools.
  • Identify opportunities for improving testing processes and implementing best practices.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 7 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, preferably in a large-scale ERP implementation
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered
  • Strong understanding of testing principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in testing tools and software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Preferred:
    Certification in Software Testing or related fields.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking systems and best practices.
