Job description

fpKIDS Pastor
Full-Time | North Knoxville Campus
Faith Promise Church | Knoxville, Tennessee
THE OPPORTUNITY
Faith Promise Church is seeking a full-time fpKIDS Pastor to lead kids ministry at our North Knoxville Campus. You'll lead all aspects of fpKIDS for children from birth through 5th grade, manage and develop 100+ volunteers, and create an environment where kids and families encounter Jesus and experience spiritual transformation. This is a leadership role perfect for someone ready to scale kids ministry impact in a dynamic, multisite church.
ABOUT FAITH PROMISE
We exist to win the world by equipping Christ-followers to win their world, starting with 1% of Tennessee. We're a multisite church committed to helping people encounter Jesus, become fully devoted followers of Christ, and lead others to do the same. Our culture is fast-moving, vision-focused, and centered on our core values: Love God, Love People, Discover Purpose, Win Our World.
If you're passionate about kids' spiritual formation and excited about advancing God's Kingdom through a growing, multisite organization, this is for you.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
•Lead all aspects of fpKIDS (birth–5th grade) at the North Knoxville Campus: preschool, early childhood, elementary, small groups, welcome teams, and safety protocols.
•Recruit, train, and develop 100+ volunteers to deliver excellent, spiritually transformative experiences in large group, small group, and event settings.
•Create a loving, safe environment where kids (6 weeks–5th grade) and parents experience spiritual growth and feel genuinely known by leaders.
•Design and execute milestone events (KidSteps, Child Dedications, Pop-Up Weekends) and outreach events that connect families to the Faith Promise community.
•Develop team leaders and create layers of volunteer leadership (coaches, small group leaders) to multiply ministry impact.
•Own strategic planning, budgeting, scheduling, and operational excellence to run a high-capacity, scalable kids ministry.
•Contribute to church-wide initiatives and special events that advance our vision to win the world by equipping Christ-followers.
WHO YOU ARE
You're a strategic leader passionate about kids' spiritual formation and volunteer team development. You thrive in multisite, fast-paced environments. You communicate clearly, inspire excellence, and balance execution with vision. You're organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented. You believe deeply that kids' ministry is not babysitting—it's discipleship and spiritual formation.
Most importantly: You're a fully devoted Christ-follower aligned with our values and vision to win the world by equipping others to win their world.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•3+ years of experience in kids ministry leadership, volunteer management, or equivalent
•Proven ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteer teams (50+ people preferred)
•Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills
•Excellent relational skills and ability to connect with diverse people
•Collaborative, adaptable mindset; thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments
•Personal faith commitment to Jesus Christ

•Experience in a multisite church or organization
•Background in kids ministry
•Experience with volunteer management systems
