Roles and Responsibilities

This role utilizes your deep understanding of the Manufacturing Execution System space. While below is a sample of the role, each unique project will provide you the opportunity to develop and grow your MES capabilities.

  • Architect digital solutions to improve equipment reliability and maintenance strategies using predictive/preventive tools.
  • Assess current plant maintenance processes and define future-state workflows to improve reliability.
  • Develop and document technical solutions (IoT, AI, digital twins) to reduce unplanned downtime and optimize maintenance costs
  • Partner with sales and clients to quantify business impact, delivering tailored demonstrations to technical and executive audiences
  • Select the best-matching technical stacks and integrate them into existing IT infrastructures.
  • Conduct discussions with senior leaders on functional solution within MES
  • Deliver complex projects in a fast-paced, team environment 
  • Promote and participate in forums for sharing expertise, strengthening Deloitte's collective knowledge, and helping to resolve clients' challenges
  • Collaborate on innovative solutions to bolster the future of the practice

Required Qualifications

  • Refining and chemicals reliability and maintenance experience
  • 8+ years in maintenance or reliability engineering, specifically in refining, chemicals, or mining.
  • Ability to translate complex maintenance challenges into business value, managing project scope and cost optimization.
  • Experience with ERP/EAM systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo), APM platforms and/or Digital Twin Platforms.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with asset criticality analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), and reliability data analysis.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related fields with a concentration in operations or analytics.
  • Consulting experience
  • Certification provided by software vendor
  • Experience leading a project team in a project client environment.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $175,300 - $322,900.
