Job description

As the Transaction Coordinator, you will perform a variety of support duties to retain control over finished product inventories. You ensure the supply of raw materials and components to production areas, record the entry of finished products to the corresponding warehouse, and prepare various reports. You help to enable a safe, productive, and 5S dedicated Waterborne operation in a fast-paced environment!
You will be located onsite at PPG's Cleveland, OH plant, and report to the Production Superintendent. PPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay. Paid training is provided!
This role will work a 1st shift schedule will be Monday-Friday hours from 5:30AM -2:30PM
Responsibilities:
  • Assist Production Supervisors in daily tasks that facilitate the timely production of batches by resolving and preventing transactional failure modes.
  • Support inventory accuracy goals through proper use of inventory affecting transactions.
  • Use Oracle processes and transactions to accurately facilitate data movement in Inventory Management and Batch Execution.
  • Record problems that operators encounter, prioritize the most important problems, and provide problem solving measures to eliminate them.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by Production Superintendent or Supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required, an associate or bachelor's Degree is highly desired.
  • 1+ years' experience in operations or lean manufacturing.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Oracle.
  • Effective written and oral communications are essential to acquire encouraged results and to improve the team concept of the operation.
