Job description

SUMMARY
TheDirector of Operations in Training oversees a number of grocery storesthroughout Texas. This individual is in training to be responsible fordirecting and educating Store Directors on daily operations, sales, andcustomer service. This is anonsite field position supporting stores within an assigned region. Candidatesmust be able to travel to various locations within their assigned region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includethe following. Other duties may be assigned or required:
The Regional Director of Operations in Training isaccountable for:
Store Operations

  • Responsible for store management supervision, including oversight of all store management teams: setting accountabilities, aligning team, achieving execution and providing feedback
  • Sets up and maintains cost and labor controls
  • Helps staff, train, and organize new store openings
  • Creates, improves, and/or updates systems that better or more efficiently achieve the Company's goals and objectives
  • Develops methods that help build customer loyalty and expand customer base
  • Works closely with store directors in the following:
    • Implementing corporate and merchandising strategies
    • Developing, updating and executing annual budgets and business plans
    • Handling store facilities management, ensuring quality control, budget, and overall profit and loss
    • Coaching and assisting department managers and offering advice on all aspects of store operations
  • Coordinates with other Senior Management members to reach overall company goals and objectives

Sales/Customer Service

  • Ensures key processes are in place through effective store visits, store and staff evaluations and data analysis
  • Monitors controllable store expenses for profitability
  • Motivates and inspires team in reaching high performance and in providing friendly customer service
  • Is proactive in preventing and resolving customer service situations
  • Helps educate and train Store Directors on product merchandising
  • Monitors for consistency among quality and quantity of product standards

Employee Development

  • Recruits for store management and is constantly on the lookout for building store talent
  • Ensures appropriate training for Store Directors and Department Managers
  • Manages the development and performance of all operations employees
  • Executes and communicates company procedures and policies in a manner consistent with Chedraui USAs mission
