Job description

We have an opening for a Training and Development Specialist who will create training content that will enhance our employees' skill development across our regions. This position is currently located at our corporate office in Tukwila, Washington, but will be transferring to a new facility in Fife, WA in early 2027. Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
  • Design, develop and deliver impactful training programs utilizing a variety of instructional methods and technologies. Delivers the training to employees and where applicable, conducts train the trainer using a variety of instructional techniques to ensure effective delivery of content and learning.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Training Director and managers, supervisors and other subject matter experts, to gather information and create engaging training content and materials.
  • Conduct employee skill assessments to identify training gaps and opportunities that will effectively identify learning solutions.
  • Coordinate with leadership to ensure specific business needs are met and learning strategies are aligned with established deliverables.
  • Assess course materials and review post-training evaluations to determine course effectiveness; make changes to improve learning solutions.
  • Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and learning design.
  • Coordinates with Administrative Assistant on logistical items for the courses, including scheduling of training, locations, equipment, printing materials, and assisting with pre and post training arrangements.

Personal Attributes, Experience, and Education:
  • Requires Bachelor's Degree in related field and 2-4 years or more experience in the development and delivery of training materials.
  • Requires strong project management skills, goal setting, attention to details, and is self-directed.
  • Experience in developing and implementing training and learning solutions.
  • Effective communication and engaging facilitation skills.
  • Relevant with the latest industry trends and best practices in training design and learning technologies.
  • Proven ability to collect data, analyze results, and measure the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Work schedule is in-office (non-remote) and work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
