Training & Development Coordinator
Location: On-site, Cuyahoga Heights, OH 44125
Pay: $32/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Duration: 6-Month Contract (Assignment expected to conclude after six months.)
Training & Development Coordinator - Help Shape Employee Learning and Growth!
Are you an organized and detail-oriented professional who enjoys supporting employee learning and development initiatives? We're seeking a Training & Development Coordinator to join a collaborative Human Resources team and play a key role in delivering high-quality training programs across the organization.
In this role, you'll coordinate training activities, support learning programs, manage training records, assist with workshop logistics, maintain learning content, and serve as a key resource for employees, managers, and training partners. If you're passionate about employee development and enjoy managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Must-Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in training coordination, learning and development, HR support, or employee development
  • Experience coordinating training programs, workshops, meetings, and employee learning initiatives
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, calendars, schedules, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities
Training Program Coordination
  • Support the administration and coordination of organizational training programs
  • Assist with district-wide training budget requests and compilation activities
  • Coordinate employee job shadowing requests and related communications
  • Support new hire training assignments, reassignments, and onboarding communications
  • Assist with New Manager Program logistics, recordkeeping, scheduling, and participant communications
Learning Management System (LMS) Administration
  • Create and maintain training courses within UKG (based on security permissions)
  • Assign training courses and monitor completion status
  • Track attendance and maintain training records
  • Generate training and participation reports
Workshop & Event Support
  • Coordinate training workshop logistics and participant communications
  • Prepare and distribute training materials and pre-work assignments
  • Welcome vendors and assist with training session introductions
  • Collect, review, and maintain training evaluations and feedback data
  • Schedule training sessions, meetings, and appointments
Training Operations & Communications
  • Manage and respond to inquiries within the HR Training inbox
  • Maintain training documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and records
  • Support HR intranet content related to learning and development programs
  • Assist with internal grant-related training correspondence and coordination
  • Prepare and distribute agendas and supporting materials for training-related meetings
Administrative Support
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate training records and reports
  • Support learning and development initiatives through reporting and documentation
  • Assist with invoicing and vendor coordination as needed

  • Experience supporting employee training, professional development, or learning programs
  • Strong project coordination and administrative skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Experience maintaining confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Nice to Have
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably UKG
  • Experience coordinating instructor-led and virtual training programs

  • Experience working in a public sector, utility, or unionized environment
Other Requirements
  • Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
